POSTERS & FLYERS

'Stay Weird' (2022)

A psychedelic trip of a poster.

'Jeepers Creepers!'
'... I Have To Scream Now' (2022)

Some more horror / goth-themed posters with ornate elements and vintage typography.

'Let's Start A Cult'
'Never Trust The Living'
When In Doubt, Creep 'Em Out' (2022)

As a fan of horror films, this was a labour of love. I used a lot of misalignment / misregistration, faded ink and halftone printing techniques to create these posters, and added texture and distress to the final artwork for an aged look.

'Taxi Driver' minimal poster (2021)

Three years after my first attempt, I decided to revisit one of my minimal poster designs. Armed with a much better understanding of design, colour theory and techniques, I think this is a vast improvement. The original 'Taxi Driver' design and the typefaces still look great though, but the black and white Travis, the off-yellow colour, checks in the corner and the perspective of the buildings make for a much more interesting and nuanced composition.

'The Big 60' (2021)

A vintage Bollywood-inspired poster design in celebration of my wonderful mother's 60th birthday this year.

'Taxi Driver'
'Blade Runner 2049'
'Twin Peaks' minimal posters (2018)

Poster designs using vectors, clipping and layer masks and textured paper overlays to create a vintage and retro look.

Jump (2018)

Quite a nice idea, based on the video for 'Bliss' by Muse.

Home Taping is Killing Music (2008)

Do you ever find yourself queuing up for a gig, in a collective buzz for the evening, only to find yourself fending off street teams trying to hand you dozens of promotional leaflets? Most of these end up strewn across the venue floor when punters get inside, but have you ever looked at them? These leaflets, even from the same promoters, are completely inconsistent; nothing stands out, and you rarely know what music is going to be played at the club nights they're pushing. With Home Taping, I wanted to create an identity - same logo, same typefaces and essential information. It might not be subtle, but at least you know what you're in for.

Gig flyers (2007 - 2009)

Posters created in Photoshop and Corel Draw (!) using mixed media, hand drawings, scans, punch labels and cut-outs.
